The CDCP is aimed at Canadians with an annual household income under $90,000 who do not have access to private dental insurance.
It’s being rolled out in stages:
- 2024: Seniors aged 65+
- 2025: Children under 18 and eligible adults
🦷 What’s Covered
Exams and cleanings
X-rays and fluoride treatments
Fillings, extractions
Root canals (on certain teeth)
Dentures and some emergency care
Coverage is based on income, with co-pays ranging from 0% to 40%.
📝 How It Works
- Apply online through CRA’s My Account
- Once approved, you’ll receive a CDCP dental card
- Show the card at participating clinics for direct billing
