The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) provides varying levels of coverage depending on your family income. Whether you’re a senior, child, or eligible adult, the plan helps reduce the cost of essential dental services.
Here’s a breakdown of how much coverage you can expect in 2025:
💰 Income-Based Coverage Tiers
- $70,000 or less in annual household income: 100% coverage
- $70,000–$79,999: 60% coverage
- $80,000–$89,999: 40% coverage
If your household income exceeds $90,000 or you have access to private insurance, you are not eligible for CDCP.
🦷 What This Means for You
Your coverage level applies to eligible services, such as:
- Cleanings and checkups
- Fillings and extractions
- X-rays and fluoride treatments
- Root canals (select teeth)
- Dentures and emergency dental care
💳 You May Still Have a Co-Pay
If you qualify for 60% or 40% coverage, you’ll be responsible for the remaining balance. Your provider can give you an estimate before treatment.
