The CRA My Account is the primary way to apply for the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP), but if you don’t have an account yet — don’t worry. There are other ways to apply or get started.
Here’s what to do:
💻 Option 1: Register for CRA My Account
If you have a Social Insurance Number (SIN), you can register online at canada.ca/my-account. It’s free and gives you access to CDCP and other federal services.
- SIN
- Postal code
- Past tax return info
- Access to email or phone for verification
☎️ Option 2: Apply by Phone (if eligible)
Some applicants — especially seniors or those with accessibility needs — may apply by calling CRA’s designated CDCP line.
Have the following ready:
- SIN and date of birth
- Your most recent income details
- Mailing address and contact info
📮 Option 3: Mail (Coming Soon)
CRA is expected to offer a paper-based option for some Canadians later in 2025. Check for updates on their website.
