The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP)
Canada Dental Care Plan (CDCP)
At McLevin Dental, we firmly believe that good dental care is a right for everyone, not just those who can afford it. With rising inflation and the increasing cost of living, the Canada Dental Care Plan (CDCP) is a welcome relief for Canadian residents with an adjusted family net income below $90,000/year and without private dental coverage.

CDCP Program Eligibility
The Canadian Dental Care Plan is not yet available to everyone. Initially, it was offered to seniors aged 65 and above, but the latest update now includes children under the age of 18.
If you fall within these age brackets and meet the following criteria, you may be eligible to benefit from this plan:
Be a Canadian resident for tax purposes
Not have access to employer/pension-sponsored or private dental insurance
Have filed your tax return in the previous year
Have an adjusted family net income of less than $90,000
Services Covered by the CDCP
Preventive services
Diagnostic services
Restorative services
Endodontic services
Prosthodontic services
Periodontal services
Oral surgery services
Sedation dentistry services

How Much is Covered?
The coverage offered by the Canada Dental Care Plan depends on your family’s net income, meaning your contribution may differ from that of another family. When scheduling your appointment, don’t hesitate to ask our team about the services included under CDCP and the percentage of costs applicable to your plan. Before booking an appointment, it’s essential to ask your dentist if they accept the CDCP, as not all dental clinics are enrolled in the program. At McLevin Dental, we do accept the Canada Dental Care Plan and would be happy to assist you.
