Why We Started the Holiday Dental Drive
The inspiration behind our annual Holiday Dental Drive came from a single moment. We realized that while we could treat those who came through our doors, there were still hundreds more silently suffering.
And so, the Holiday Dental Drive was born: a mission to make oral health more accessible, compassionate, and community-driven during the time of year when giving means the most.
What the Holiday Dental Drive Includes
Every December, we launch a month-long campaign inviting patients, community members, and local businesses to donate oral hygiene items. These include toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss, mouthwash, and denture supplies. Our clinic matches every donation, ensuring that every kit we build goes beyond the basics.
We then distribute these kits through local shelters, youth programs, food banks, and senior centers across Scarborough. We also offer free oral health screenings at select partner locations during the drive, focusing on education and early intervention.
These hygiene kits arent just bundles of productstheyre tools of dignity. They allow people to feel clean, cared for, and seen during a season that can be particularly difficult for those without stable housing or support systems.
How Our Patients Make It Possible
