When does CDCP dental coverage officially start for adults?

The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) is being rolled out in phases, with different start dates depending on age and eligibility. If you’re an adult without private dental insurance, your CDCP coverage start date depends on when you’re invited to apply.

Here’s what we know so far:

Adults with DTC (18–64) June 2024 Nov 2024 (expected)
Children under 18 June 2024 Dec 2024 (expected)
All eligible adults (18–64) 2025 Launch TBD

The CRA will send you an invitation letter or notice in your CRA My Account when it’s your turn to apply.
