Here’s a breakdown of who qualifies for free or reduced-cost dental care under the CDCP:
✅ General Eligibility Criteria
To qualify, you must:
- Be a Canadian resident
- Have no access to private dental insurance
- Have a family net income under $90,000
- File your taxes regularly (CRA uses tax info to assess eligibility)
👵👶 Who’s Included in 2025
- Seniors aged 65 and older
- Children under 18 years old
- Adults with a valid Disability Tax Credit
- Other low- to middle-income adults (phased in during 2025)
💰 Coverage Based on Income
- $70,000 or less: 100% covered
- $70,000–$79,999: 60% covered
- $80,000–$89,999: 40% covered
